The social club are running a weekend away to Wesport on the October Bank Holiday weekend. Bus will leave Saturday morning returning Monday afternnoon. The Match against Milltown on Monday 16/04/2012 is called off due to a bereavement in Milltown.
 Some of the large Castlemitchell contingent who invaded Pearse Stadium in Galway following Kildare's promotion to Div 1 for the first time since 2008 following a remarkable, last gasp draw with Galway.
Galway were three points clear in added time after a stunning second half turnaround, but Kildare secured the point they needed to secure promotion when veteran Johnny Doyle successfully converted a penalty with the last kick of the game. Congratulations to Kildare and everyone in Castlemitchell wish them the very best in the league final against Tyrone on 29th April. Castlemitchell Ladies GFC are holding a girls Easter camp tomorrow (Good Friday) from 10.30 to 2.30pm. All girls under the age of 12 are welcome to attend. The camp is free of charge and lunch will be provided.
