75 Year Celebrations

All roads lead to Castlemitchell on Saturday 5th July 2014 as Castlemitchell GFC celebrate their 75th anniversary. Celebrations will begin in the pitch during the day with fun and games for all the family. Exhibition football matches will take place and will be followed by the Official Opening of our spectator stand by special guest Liam O'Neill GAA President. Victorious teams of the past will also be acknowledged and celebrated.

A Celebration Dance will be held that night in the Clanard Court hotel where the Players of the Year will be announced and the 5 Year Strategic Plan will be launched. A 4 course meal, live band Helter Skelter followed by DJ Spuddy Dazzler and Bar Extension for only €25. Tickets are limited so contact any committee member ASAP.

Castlemitchell are planning for the future

Club Planning Forum on Sunday 13th April 2014 at 3pm in Athy College.

Most of you may be aware that the club is currently involved in a club planning process which is looking at all aspects of our club with a view to putting in place a programme which will serve to move the club forward over the next 5 years. This is a key development for us as we aim to build on our past 75 years and plan for the future.
The areas being discussed are:

Coaching and Games
Facilities and Development
Club Structures and Administration
Communication, PR and Culture
Finance and Fundraising

The purpose of this workshop is to give everyone in our community the opportunity to have their say in our future. For this initiative to have any value it is important that anyone involved or interested in Castlemichell GFC take part in the process, regardless of whether they are totally involved or merely a parent or supporter.
You are therefore invited to attend the forum which will be held in Athy College on Sunday 13th April 2014 at 3pm (maximum 2 hours)
All are welcome.

5 Year Development Plan 2014-2019

We will hold a very important meeting to compile a 5 year plan for the club on this Saturday 18th January in the Clubhouse at 6 pm.
The main objective of our Club Plan is to make sure we continue to effectively serve our players, members, supporters, and the community that sustain us. This plan when complete will provide a blueprint for the future of Castlemitchell GFC and address the key issues facing us over the next 5 years. Representatives from the Co. Board and Leinster Council will attend. We need all our players, coaches, mentors and members to attend this meeting to give their views, opinions and ideas. Your input is vital so please attend.
