Castlemitchell GFC Social Committee is organising a weekend away to the Marina Hotel, Waterford, on 29th and 30th October 2016. Cost is €150 which includes Coach to and from Waterford, 2 nights B&B and 1 evening meal plus entry to Greyhound Racing in Kilcohan Park .

Castlemitchell u12's began their division 1 league tonight with a win against Athy in an exciting game in Athy.In a tight game throughout Athy started brightly and put 2 points up before Castlemitchell got going. Castlemitchell started to move the ball forward and started to advance with scores and with our defence beginning to get on top.At half time there was little in it .Castlemitchell started brighter out of the two teams in the second half and scored 3 goals from Saheed Adise.. With our defence marking tighter and goalkeeper Darragh Ashton saving smartly and delivering well placed kick outs . Both teams never gave up until the final whistle to a scoreline of Castlemitchell 3-9 Athy 1-7. Next up is Sarsfields away on Thursday night.
