After 11 weeks we have come to the end of this year's Castlemitchell Last Man Standing.All  four remaining people for week 11 got knocked out so the prize money of €500 will be split equally.Congratulations to the four people who were Tony Conlon seller Mcheal Kelly,Fergal Pender seller Micheal Kelly,Brendan Harris seller Brendan Harris and Frank Whelan seller Ger McDonagh. Well done to the four lads and thanks to all who entered the competition and the sellers.

Sarsfields travelled to Castlemitchell last night for  round 4 of the under 12's league. Sarsfields with the wind behind them in the first half  opened the scoring with Castlemitchell  returning with a point of their own before scoring a goal.In a tight game of football with both defences playing well keeping scores to a minimum with some very good scores from open play from both teams . In the second half Castlemitchell moved ahead to finish out on a scoreline of Castlemitchell 5-11  Sarsfields 1-7.

Castlemitchell u14's travelled to Castledermot tonight for the quarter final of Group D Feile tonight. It was a tense game  throughout with Castlemitchell  going into an early lead which they held going into half time with good movement from the forwards and tight defending from the defence. With 5 poals in the first half Castlemitchell were playing some good football but Castledermot would keep going and into the second half scored some good goals as well to go into the last few minutes with Castlemitchell   holding on to a narow lead to finish on a scoreline of 7-7 to 7-6. Castlemitchell now play the winners of Grange and Cappagh.

Castlemitchell's u8s enjoyed a great day out to play a game of football in the Gaa Headquarters Croke Park yesterday. All left early yesterday morning for the trip to Dublin where they got to go down to the dressing rooms and warm up areas in the Cusack Stand. Then they played 2 teams of football on Croke Park and then all went up the steps of the Hogan Stand to lift the cup. After leaving Croke Park they all enjoyed McDonalds on the way home. A great day was had by all and a day they will never forget.
