Best overall Float Winners 2016
Congratulations to all in the club, young and not so young, men, women and especially the children, who represented the club with such pride in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Athy. This is the fourth year in a row that the club have been prize winners in Athy Parade. The excellent float and entry was a credit to all involved and showed Castlemitchell GFC in its true light - a club with sporting, social and family attributes. This years theme was "Life in Athy in 1916". Once again it was a joy to see the green and white being paraded through the streets of Athy. A big thanks to Declan and Harris Transport for providing the transport to showcase the club. Thanks also to all involved in preparing & decorating the float and providing tractors, pony and "High Nellies"and the huge effort everyone put in. Many thanks to the Athy Promoters Group for ensuring the parade takes place each year and to Ger Kelly and his team who work tirelessly organising the parade and ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.
