U13's v Sallins

 Castlemitchell travelled to Sallins last night to claim a win on score of Castlemitchell 9-9 to Sallins 6-12.In a tense game on a wet slippery surface it was a great game between two evenly matched teams.It was a game of fast movement of the ball from defence up to the forwards.Castlemitchell  started brightly with a goal from Darragh Ashton before Sallins came back with 2 points. It was nip and tuck between the two sides with both teams scoring good points and goals with goals from Jay Corcoran,Sean Maloney and Darragh Ashton and points from Adam Fanning and Jack McCabe to go in at half time 4-5 to 2-8. Both teams produced some great play with Castlemitchell defence  of Evan Doogue ,Mark Kelly and Andrew Doyle tackling strong and great goalkeeping from Eamon Lawless. In a tense second half Caslemitchell scored goals from Charlie Roycroftand Jack McCabe and points from James Harris and Adam Fanning  and with Sallins scoring 4 goals  Castlemitchell finished the game to hold out for the win. Well done to both teams for a great game.
