Sarsfields U12A boys began their Spring league with a home game against Castlemitchell last night. Castlemitchell started brightly and dominated the early exchanges, however with some excellent defending by Josh Minihan and Adam McHugh they were unable to convert their dominance into scores. The sash boys settled into the game and began to exert their own pressure and play some great football. They dominated the remainder of the half and led at the break. As with the first half Castlemitchell started strongly in the second half but by now had found their range and convert their chances. It was nip and tuck with both teams displaying great skill and vision throughout the half with Fiachra Galvin and Cormac Bruce featuring strongly. As the light faded the referee blew full time on a final score of 4-6 apiece with a draw probably a fair result.
