U10s continue with win in Division 1

Castlemitchell continued tonight with a win against Kilcullen in a cold Kilcullen on a scoreline of 1-18 to 2-0. Castlemitchell started brightly but were finding it hard to break down the Kilcullen defence but with hard work they got there first score from James Corcoran and never looked back. They continued to work the ball well from defence to the forwards who were always looking for it and to take there points.Kilcullen never gave up and was always looking and fighting to win posessin which Castlemitchell didn't want to give away.

U12 defeated by Monasterevin

Castlemitchell u12s came up against a very strong Monasterevin team tonight in Castlemitchell, The game was even at half time Castlemitchell 2-0 to Monasterevin 0-6. Ray Kavanagh scored 2 well taken goals but we were under pressure with Monasterevin creating a lot more chances but with good defending from Castlemitchell. In the second half Monasterevin continued with well taken points and with the outstanding goalkeeping from Darragh Ashton keeping Monasterevin at bay. Castlemitchell continued to put pressure on Monasterevin and scored 2 points form Saheed Adise and Victory Aibangbbe.

U10s defeat St Laurences

In Castlemitchell tonight was an excellent game of football between two sides . St Laurences started brightly with 2 quick points on the scoreboard before Castlemitchell got going with a Jack Mc Cabe goal. After that Castlemitchelll powered forward with every chance they got and never looked back to finish the game with a scoreline of 5-15 to 0-8. The accuracy of scores from both teams was a credit as was the defending and blocking throughout the game.

Under 12s continue with win against Elistown

Castlemitchell u12s continued in the league last night with a win against Elistown in Castlemitchell. Castlemitchell started brightly but were finding it hard to out the scores on the board with the wind and good defending from Elistown. They continued to battle to increase their score and were defending well themselves to go into the second half leading. Castlemitchell added some good points with swift movement of the ball and Elistown replied with some long range points.

Team on the day was S Adise. R Harris,L Maher,J Harris , Z Harris, R Kavanagh,V Aibangbba,L Hickey,L Ward, J Whelan,S Kelly, J Corcoran,J Dooley M Kelly and A Doyle.

Under 10s start off with win in Division 1

Our under 10s team started with a win tonight against Round Towers in division 1 .On a nice evening in Castlemitchell, we started off brightly to command the game from start to finish with flowing football and hard team work. Our defence work tiredlessly to win the ball and deliver to our midfield and forwards who in turn scored some great scores. Round Towers continued to work to fight back and the game ended on a scoreline of 2-21 to 1-6.

U12s start with win in league

Our under 12s team started the league on Thursday night with a convincing win over Ballyteague in Ballyteague. After making the long trip to Ballyteague we started brightly and continued till the end with great determination in the defence and attacking every ball in midfield to help the forwards score. There was some great point and goals scored on the night.The game finished on a scoreline of Castlemitchell 11-9 to Ballyteague 1-1.

Team of the night was Liam Hickey,Ross Harris,Luke Maher,Mark Kelly,Zoe Harris,James Harris,Ray Kavanagh,Victory Aibangbbe,Saheed Adise,Lorcan Ward,Shane Kelly and Jamie Whelan.
