Castlemitchell were unlucky to lose in a very exciting final today against a very good and strong Monasterevin on a score of 4-4 to 4-0. It started great for Castlemitchell with a goal from Zoe Harris. Castlemitchell and Monasterevin were playing some excellent football moving the ball with quick pace. Monasterevin replied with a point before Victory Aibangbbe finished off a great move with a goal. Castlemitchell kept moving forward and scored another goal by Andrew Doyle. Monasterevin replied to leave the score at halftime 3-0 to 1-3 in Castlmitchell's favour. Monasterevin came back strong in the second half to move into the lead before Zoe Harris scored a great goal to keep Castlemitchell in contention. Monasterevin replied with a goal. With time running out, Castlemitchell were unlucky after a great save from Monasterevin to keep out John Dooley's shot on goal. Congratulations to Monasterevin for an excellent game. It was a tight and exciting game from start to finish with both teams giving everything they had to advance to the final against Monasterevin. Elistown started quicker with a very good point. Castlemitchell replied with a goal and went in at half time 1 point up with the score at 4-1 to 2 -6.

Castlemitchell u14's record second league win Wednesday night last saw Castlemitchell u14's record their second straight win in this years league with a score line of 4-14 to 3-6 against a very good Castledermot team. The game opened with the green and white taking some fine scores but the visitors kept in touch with some good play. The Young Mitchell's upped their performance in the early stages of the second half , taking some fine team goals and points. Castledermot never gave up and finished with a couple of goals but this was a fine performance by the home side who are away to Carbury next Wednesday night. The team on the night was:Cian Byrne, Kyle Byrne, Jack Nolan, Eamon Kelly, Chris Chanders, Fallou Sangre, Stephen Flynn, Larry Adisa, Joshua Folawewo, Jordan Hickey, Jamie Griffin , Ja Kelly Devereux, Cathal Wall, Eddie Roycroft, Harrison Okee ,Stephen Nolan, Jack King and Danny Loughman. Castlemitchell finished there group undefeated tonight with a very good game against Athy in Castlemitchell. Athy started brightly with the first score only for Castlemitchel to score straight after. Both teams were working very hard and defending with terrific blocking and finding the forwards. At half time there was nothing in it between the 2 sides with Castlemitchell moving ahead in the second half with some terrific scores.Both teams continued to give it their all until the final whistle. Well done to both teams.

Scorers on the night were J Harris,R Harris,A Doyle,E Lawless,J Corcoran,O Flynn,K Sheehan,J McCabe, U14's begin league with a win 4-6 v 2-8 On a bright Wednesday night in Naas GAA, Castlemitchell u14's got their league off to the perfect start. Castlemitchell were quickly into their stride and had two quick points on the board, however the home side came back into the match and both sides traded points before Eddie Roycroft found the Naas net to give the young Mitchells a 3 point lead . This lead was reduced to just one by the home side as the referee blew for half time . The second half began with some great football by both sides but due to some great defending by Castlemitchell led by the excellent Stephen Flynn , the green and white created a platform that produced three goals . With time running out Naas got two goals to reduce the margin to 4 points but the Mitchell's were deserving winners. Next up for this team is a home match v Castledermoton Wednesday night at 7 Castlemitchell under 12s defeated Ballykelly tonight on a score line of 4-16 to 3-2 to book their place in the semi final of division 3. Castlemitchell started brightly to gain control of the game with some great scores and fine defending.Ballykelly never gave up and finished strong .

Castlemitchell under 10s defeated Sarsfields in division 1 clash in Castlemitchell on Tuesday night. Castlemitchell started brightly and scored early to which they never gave up and continued to work hard and defend and move the ball quickly to the forwards to score. Overall Castlemitchell were stronger but Sarsfields never gave up and continued to work hard and battle in this game.
