U11's begin Div 1 league with a win

Going back to play neighbours Athy on Thursday night at u11 level the Young Mitchell's recorded a fine victory over a very good Athy side. It was a very fine defensive performance in the first half as the green and white blocked and hurried their opponents, defending in numbers in a fine performance, unlucky with some fine attempts at scores the lads and girls found themselves down at half time.
However displaying a great attitude and no little determination in the second half the Young Mitchells powered up the field taking some excellent scores while still keeping up to their defensive duties. When the final whistle blew it was joy for the green and white in another excellent game of football where the future for both clubs looks very bright.
Well done to all involved with a Castlemitchell side who put on a fine display from a talented team and the club would like to wish Athy the very best for 2013.
