On Tuesday night our two teams travelled to neighbours Athy to compete in two fine matches.
On pitch number 1 the Young Mitchell's were up against a fine Athy team who playing with the aid of a big wind built up a 7 point half time lead.
The second half saw the Young Mitchells combine great football with the wind to claw back the Athy lads but with time running the lads and ladies in green and white could not get the 1 score they needed to level what was a fine match watched by a very appreciative crowd.
Over on the 2nd pitch the Young Mitchells took control of the game early and put on a fine display of combination football with backs on top and forwards taking some excellent scores. when the referee blew the whistle the Young Mitchells found themselves well in front after a fine nights football. Well done to Athy for hosting two fine matches and the best of luck to them for the rest of the season.
